    John Perry is the President of Altavian, Inc., an Unmanned Aircraft Systems company providing high performance solutions for monitoring civil infrastructure and natural resources. Mr. Perry’s technical background is in geospatial technology. He is the lead technical contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Jacksonville District UAS Program. Mr. Perry is a recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and a National Merit Scholar. He has authored numerous papers and presentations related to unmanned aircraft and remote sensing.

    Previous experience includes technical positions at the University of Florida’s Geomatics Program and Honors Office, international leadership with Engineers Without Borders, and independent consulting for embedded geospatial system development.

    Mr. Perry is qualified as a PhD Candidate in Geomatics at the University of Florida, and anticipates graduation in July, 2012.
